Team Broken Earth was assembled to support the relief effort in Haiti, and to restore strength and hope to the Haitian people in the aftermath of one of the most devastating natural disasters in recent history. A 7 Mw earthquake, with more than 50 aftershocks, has left Haiti in dire need of outside, volunteer medical assistance.

Broken Earth is a volunteer task force composed of physicians, nurses, and physiotherapists from Newfoundland and Labrador, and we are the first collective of Eastern Health employees involved in an international relief effort. Our team has become a tremendous force in Haiti, capable of caring for more than 500 patients per week. We are very proud to represent Canada and Newfoundland and Labrador in this cause.
