Team Calgary + Team Newfoundland, Antigua, Guatemala Nov ‘23

Two volunteer teams from across the country will join on a national surgical mission in Antigua, Guatemala from November 18 – 25, 2023. Volunteers from St. John’s, Newfoundland and Calgary, Alberta will spend the week offering surgical care to those who need it the most.

Team Calgary, consisting of 26 volunteers, will focus on orthopedic, plastic and general surgery. While Team Newfoundland has 28 volunteers joining for the week with a focus on plastic surgery, urology, general surgery and gynecology.

This national team will work with Partners for Surgery to ensure the patients from all over Guatemala in need of surgery receive the best care possible. Together we will change lives, thanks to the support of our generous donors and volunteers.

Heather, Registered Nurse with Team Newfoundland who volunteered in February’s surgical mission had this to say about her experience about the impact we have on the people of Guatemala.
