Team NL and Team Calgary

Two volunteer teams, Team Calgary + Team Newfoundland, will join forces to deliver vital medical care in Antigua, Guatemala from Nov 15 – 23, 2024. Significant barriers to accessing healthcare is a problem that affects so many Guatemalans, but our compassionate, caring, and skilled volunteers are determined to make a life-changing difference for this vulnerable population.
During this important week our Calgary team will be performing orthopaedic, plastic, and gynecological surgeries.
Team NL volunteers will spend the week with a focus on plastic surgery, general surgery, gynecology, and urology. They’ll also be conducting a Vision Clinic where individuals who would otherwise not have access to crucial eye care, will receive – free eye examinations, glasses and necessary treatment.
Our teams will work with Partner for Surgery to ensure patients receive the best care possible.
